Climbing is the perfect sport – social, dynamic, engaging and, above all, fun.
The perfect place to try this out, is the Beacon Climbing Centre, the largest indoor climbing centre in North Wales, where climbing is catered to all levels from the first experience to elite performance. It is suitable for all ages and levels of ability with expert tuition available for all climbers, including groups.
If you are new to climbing, you can take the Learn to Climb course – 8 hours of instruction, which allows you to use the roped climbing walls and bouldering areas on your own.
There are great activities for kids available too. The Crazy Climb is a set of 15 unique challenges, with crazy climbing walls with challenges such as large purple bubbles rather than the traditional handholds. This activity has a fully automatic safety system, where you just clip yourself on and climb up. The system allows you to slowly and safely glide down from any point on the wall. There is, of course, a fully qualified instructor supervising the session.
