Newborough Beach/Traeth Llanddwyn is a true hidden gem of North Wales that is ideal for families, water sports enthusiasts and walkers.

You can either park in the forest car park or if you want to experience the beautiful Newborough Forest you can park somewhere in Newborough village and walk the forest path up to the beach.

As well as miles of golden sands, next to the beach is Ynys Llanddwyn or Llanddwyn Island, which is described as one of the most beautiful places in Wales.

You can access the beautiful island if you just walk from the car park along the beach.

On the island, you can find the remains of St Dwynwen’s church.

Along the walk on Llanddwyn Island, you will see 2 stunning white lighthouses.

It’s always worth checking the Llanddwyn Island tide times as when it’s a high tide the island can be cut off for up to 2 hours.
