Full List of All the Blue Flag Beaches in Wales in 2023
The Blue Flag scheme is an instantly-recognised worldwide marker of a clean, safe beach which has been trusted since 1987. In Wales, the list of beaches worthy of a prestigious Blue Flag is drawn up each year by Keep Wales Tidy. A Blue Flag signifies a beach which has met rigorous specific standards of water quality, information provision, environmental education, safety, and site management.Â
Something you may not know is that Wales has more Blue Flag beaches per mile than anywhere else in the UK. 25 in total. In our book, that’s 25 more brilliant reasons to visit Wales for your holiday this year.Â
And on top of the well-known Blue Flag, Keep Wales Tidy also has other important markers offering a seal of approval for beaches. 12 beaches were awarded the Seaside Award which recognises excellent facilities and water quality.Â
And last but not least, 14 beaches were awarded Green Coast Award which is for their clean environment, excellent water quality and natural beauty.
